This was I think, the first recipe I made as a kid. I would help my mother break the biscuits into little pieces something you could do with your little ones to keep them busy and get them to enjoy being in the kitchen. Since it was one of the first things I've made myself and Since it was served at Prince Williams Royal wedding only weeks ago I thought it be appropriate to have it be my first post;). It's a very easy recipe, serve it to your friends with a nice hot cup of coffee (y) "Delicious".
Utensils:
* Bowls
* Small pot to heat milk
* Small pan to Melt Butter
* Spoons (wooden or Other)
* Whisk ( Hand, electric or Kitchen Aid)
* Plastic Wrap (or Plastic Bags for Food storage Cut on two sides) if you want a Roll like shape if not place it in any baking pan shape you like.
* Measuring Cup (liquid and Dry)
* Sift
Ingredients :
* 4 Eggs
* 1 Stick Unsalted Butter (113g, 1/2 Cup. 8tbsp, 4oz (ounces))
* 3/4 Cup of Unsweetened Cocoa powder (85g, 12tbsp, 3.12oz)
* 3/4 Cup of Caster Sugar (White Granulated Sugar)(170g,5.95oz)
* 1/2 Cup of Full Fat Milk ( 123g, 4.33oz,118ml)
* 1/2 Cup Whipping Cream (119 g, 4oz, 118ml)
* 2 Packs Butter Biscuits (or Golden Grahams, Digestive Biscuits)
* 2 Tsp Instant Coffee (or 1 Tsp expresso powder) (Optional)
* Coconut Powder (Optional)
Directions :
* Break Biscuits into small pieces (1-2 cm, 0.3-0.5 in)
*Sift Cocoa into a Bowl
*Melt Butter and LET COOL
*Mix Eggs & Sugar till you get a light yellow color
* Pour in Butter and Mix well
*Pour Egg mix over Cocoa and mix well with a Spoon
* Heat Milk till Luke warm( 35-37 degrees C, 95-97 F)
* Add coffee to luke warm milk if your using it
* Pour Milk over cocoa mix and mix till fully incorporated
*Whip the Cream till soft peaks form
* Fold the cream into the chocolate mix
* Gradually add the biscuits till all are covered with the Chocolate mix
* Pour Spoonfuls of the Biscuit mixture into the middle of the plastic wrap (or Bag) LENGTH WISE keeping the edges empty so that they cover the Mix
* Fold the plastic over the Biscuit mixture and roll it (if your using a baking pan, place parchment paper in it or cover it with butter or baking spray and pour mixture in the pan making sure to cover the whole base)
* Place your roll;cake into the Freezer for a minimum of 5 hours
* Cut into Slices and Serve ;)
This recipe Yields THREE Rolls (if making rolls, not circular or loaf shaped cake)

* I prefer using Lurpak Butter (or President)
* You can use powder Milk (for every 1 cup of liquid milk; 1/4 cup powder milk plus 1 Cup of water)
* I prefer using President Whipping Cream
* When adding the Cream to the Chocolate mixture FOLD don't Mix
* I prefer using a plastic BAG rather than wrap (easier to unfold)

Substitute the Sugar for 18 packets of sweet N low (6 Tsp)

Ps: For a more clean cut look you can place the Biscuit mixture after its done into a loaf pan to a get beautiful rectangular slices when you cut it up, or serve it in a round 7-8 inch pan. ( cover both pans well with butter, cooking spray or parchment paper so the mix doesn't stick when you turn it over to serve.)
